Start on the outlet site
Look for an about page, ownership disclosure, editorial guidelines, correction policy, contact page, and bylines. These are stronger signals than a directory listing alone.
Compare coverage
Search for the same story across multiple source types. If only one outlet reports a major claim, look for primary documents, official statements, or reporting from local sources close to the event.
Understand what the directory does
World Media Outlets helps users discover sources. It does not certify that a source is unbiased, reliable, independent, or authoritative.
